VIA LATTEA ART

For the cultivated person with the highest expectations, the Via Lattea Art wall light is dedicated to contemporary Italian art from Tuscany, one of the renowned capitals of art.

We start with original paintings created by respected Italian artists and, using serographic printing, we create a fabric shade with the image of the painting on it. Then we attach this shade to the lamp structure which contains LED lighting. The shade is attached by means of PrimoMaestro’s revolutionary, patented new system which uses magnetic attraction to hold the shade on the structure. When the light is turned on, the image is illuminated from behind, the colors showing amazingly true to the original painting. A dimmer is provided.

An added feature is the possibility to change the “painting” by purchasing another shade separately.

DENTRO IL CORPO BLU (INSIDE THE BLUE BODY)

The three graceful, elongated human figures in this painting are presented amid billows of red, yellow and green colors. They are outlined in blue, which for Franco is the color of twilight, the time of day when reality penetrates the dream. They seem transient, almost transparent, a little like phantoms, yet they are flesh and blood, symbolizing the desire to unite with the eternal, with the universe, with the infinite. On the right side of the canvas is a single cypress tree, symbol of Tuscany, a tree that expresses a desire to reach the skies, to touch the unreachable, to discover one’s desires and dreams.

THE ARTIST

Franco Fedeli is a well-known and respected Tuscan artist who was born in Arezzo, about an hour south of Florence, where he currently lives and has his studio. Trained at the Accademia di Belle Arti in Florence, he has participated in numerous group and individual exhibits in Italy and abroad. From his many associations with artists on the international art scene, he developed an interest in the Etruscans and primitive art.

He says that his work is an attempt to have people see what is not visible. So he digs inside man to penetrate the most intimate states of emotion and the soul and to bring it into his work. He speaks through color and painted design to give expressive force to his work. His motto is “to dare.”
