Why Elegant Lighting is So Important for the Image of a Hotel
When designing the interior of a hotel, comfort for the hotel guests is normally the main focus. But to stand out and making their hotel stay a unique experience, aesthetics play an important role.
When it comes to design, layout and amenities, lighting is crucial. Smart hotel owners check out various lighting options to see what fits best for e.g., their hotel lobby and corridors.
Upscale hotels want more than just lights; they are looking for objects d’art that radiate luxury. This is a challenge, since corridors and lobbies normally do not have windows and therefore don’t benefit from natural light. Fluorescent or basic lighting solutions are (of course) not an option.
Four-star Hotel Fontermosa in Fonteblanda (Tuscany, Italy) turned to PrimoMaestro Italia for lighting that would leave a permanent impression on their guests. The hotel decided to choose from the company’s “Via Lattea” collection.
Via Lattea comes in three distinctive styles:
Via Lattea Art – These stunning art pieces are created by local Tuscan artists
Via Lattea Graphics – These contemporary pieces feature modern and bold designs
Via Lattea White – These monochrome pieces make a unique geometric statement
After some consideration, the hotel decided to go for the Via Lattea White Square, admiring its sleek and elegant design.
One piece is installed in the hotel’s lobby, where it makes the perfect statement as you can see in the photo below:
More pieces grace the corridor walls. Due to the lighting, hotel guests feel safe when walking from or to their hotel rooms. At the same time, the Via Lattea pieces bring beauty to the space, giving it an art gallery-like feeling.
